Join us in the Gathering Room at 208 N. Main to paint rocks to hide around Cleburne for others to find…or keep for yourself! It’s free and all materials will be supplied. All ages welcome! Please wear paint-ready clothing or bring a smock.

April 29 | 2:00-4:30 p.m. | Wiley G. Clarkson: Master Architect

Architectural historian and author Susan Kline will discuss Fort Worth architect W.G. Clarkson’s 3 commissions in Cleburne, and how they relate to his Fort Worth buildings such as University Christian Church, the YMCA, and the Sinclair Building.
The free program takes place on Saturday, April 29 in the Layland Museum’s Gathering Room at 208 N. Main, followed by a walk through Yellow Jacket Stadium and around the old Johnson County Jail.

Plan Your Visit

Located at 201 N. Caddo St in downtown Cleburne, one block from the courthouse. The museum is near other points of interest in the downtown area, including restaurants, shopping and live entertainment.

Our Collection

The Layland Collection consists of three-dimensional objects, photographs and archival documents. The museum’s abundant photography collection covers over 100 years of Johnson county history. The cataloging and digitizing of the photo collection is currently ongoing.
