March 10-17 | Cardboard Cleburne

Spring Break Fun! Your kids can have their work on display in a  museum! Parents too why not the whole family? Create a building from a box, then find the perfect spot for it in our cardboard town, where it will be displayed until March 31. It is free, and the boxes and craft supplies are provided. Come and go during regular museum hours.

March 22 | 6:00 p.m. The Care & Repair of Old Books

Bookbinder Jim Arner will discuss the care of vintage books and demonstrate simple repairs at this program jointly sponsored by the Layland Museum and the Published Page bookshop. Free. In the museum’s Smith History Center (entrance is on Wardville at mid-block behind the main Carnegie Building).

Plan Your Visit

Located at 201 N. Caddo St in downtown Cleburne, one block from the courthouse. The museum is near other points of interest in the downtown area, including restaurants, shopping and live entertainment.

Our Collection

The Layland Collection consists of three-dimensional objects, photographs and archival documents. The museum’s abundant photography collection covers over 100 years of Johnson county history. The cataloging and digitizing of the photo collection is currently ongoing.
