July 21 | 2:00-4:30 pm Cigar Box Guitar Building Workshop

Students age 12-16 will build their own working guitars (to keep!) from wooden cigar boxes at this workshop led by Presley Auvenshine, a Cleburne native who is helping revive this 150-year-old folk art tradition. Auvenshine will play some of his cigar box guitars, explain their history, and let the kids examine them up close before they build their own. $15 supply fee. Space is limited, and registration is required at 817-645-0940.
